FAQ
What is Private Domain Info?
PrivateDomainInfo.com is a proxy domain name registrar. Private Domain Info enables domain name holders to conceal their personal information from the public WHOIS database by assigning each member a unique ID code along with valid alternate contact information.

Another registrar claims my PrivateDomainInfo.com protected domain no longer belongs to me. Is this true?

Lately other domain name registrars have been employing deceptive, scare tactics to try to get PDI protected domain owners to switch domain registries so they will 'own their domain name again'. As soon as these other domain registrars strip you of your private PDI registration, they turn right around and try to charge as much as $30.00 or more to turn your registration back into a private registration.

It's a scam to get you to pay more for your private registration through another registrar. Don't fall for it! You still own your name when it is protected with PDI. Until these other registrars contact us to inquire about a domain name, they don't know WHO owns it. Private Domain Info does not own any names. We simply provide the private registration service. We are a proxy similar to GoDaddy's Domains by Proxy

Why should I consider private registration?

When you register a domain name your personal information is readily accessible in the public WHOIS database. Anyone with a computer and an internet connection can collect your name, address, email, phone, and fax. This access to your information leaves you highly vulnerable to spammers, telemarketers, hackers, and even identity thieves.

Will Private Domain Info ever reveal my personal information?

Private Domain Info will only reveal your personal information if required by law.

Will I still own my domain name?

Yes! Because your domain names are registered through your own registrar, you retain full control of every aspect of your domains.

Your most recent domain name renewal receipt (or paid invoice) from your ISP or Domain Registrar is your proof that you are the owner of your domain name.

Will I have full control of my domain name?
